Haddonfield Skirmish CollageThe Redcoats are coming!  The first Saturday in June (June 1, 2024), the Redcoats and 10,000 history-loving visitors invade quaint colonial Haddonfield and are challenged on Kings Highway by colonial troops. Redcoats charge, muskets are fired, and the Continentals try to stop the redcoats before they head off to the Battle at Monmouth.

Come join this historic recreation and be part of a popular South Jersey event. You can be a sponsor and help bring this educational and fun event to life.

The main battle takes place on Kings Highway in front of the Indian King Tavern, a state-owned historic site operated with the assistance of the Friends of the Indian King Tavern. In this historic building a colony became a state and New Jersey’s Revolutionary War legislature met.

The Skirmish on Kings Highway is provided by the Friends of the Indian King (a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization), which works to preserve and advance the Indian King Tavern Museum, the first New Jersey State historic site.

The day is jam-packed with live history presentations, games, demonstrations, music, food, and much more.

For this event we print 9000 copies of the Indian King Gazette, a replica of a colonial era newspaper highlighting the history of the Indian King and its programs as an event guide. Sponsors can stake out space in the Gazette.

Sponsor funds enable us to provide more exciting programs to educate the public about our history, and also help maintain and preserve this historic treasure.

Let’s discuss soon, before Haddonfield is raided by the Redcoats (or all the coolest sponsorship opportunities are gone)!
