FREE, family-friendly. Rain or shine.

From May through September, join us under the tent in front of the Gazebo for FREE, family-friendly programs celebrating daily life in 1776 as part of Haddonfield's America 250 celebration. Events run rain or shine from 10 AM–2 PM each Saturday.

When the Declaration of Independence Was News

Location: Borough Hall

Dr. Emily Sneff presents her book exploring how news of the Declaration of Independence spread to people throughout the thirteen United States and the Atlantic world. The presentation discusses the various people involved in communicating the Declaration beyond Congress members, including printers, post riders, ship captains, civic leaders, soldiers, clerks, orators, preachers, diplomats, and translators.

Discussion of Kostya Kennedy's The Ride: Paul Revere and the Night That Saved America. Kennedy's 2025 work re-examines Paul Revere's famous midnight ride, using new research to provide a more complex and detailed account of the April 18, 1775 events.
